Meet the counselor!
Hi! I'm Luci, founder & lead counselor at Lighthouse Counseling & Consulting Services!
I am curious by nature, and that same curiosity has shaped my values and oriented my path to where I am now: in a field I deeply love with people I greatly respect, guided by a force I cannot fully understand, but have committed to following.
I have been a counselor for 4 years, and have worked in a variety of settings with people of all backgrounds: psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, schools, prisons, and most recently churches, which leads me to wehre I am today: in private practice as a faith-based counselor, specializing in the interaction between psychology and Biblical teaching, and how one can manage psychological well-being without ever comprimizing their faith.
I have experience treating a number of different psychological conditions, including but not limited to: personality disorders, severe trauma, suicidal ideation, attachment issues, substance abuse, impulsivity, and anxiety. I am a certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am a Certified Trauma Professional, but above all else, I am a student of Christ committed to seeing captives freed.
I am all too aware of the volume of people who walk away from the church because they do not feel safe to have difficult conversations, or to express uncomfortable emotions and experiences, and I am passionate about being a part of the solution for this very real problem. I am committed to cultivating a space of complete non-judgment; a place where you can say what's on your mind, ask the questions you've afraid to voice, and be met with understanding, warmth, and guidance grounded in Truth & Highest Good.
I believe that your life is not an accident, and that your destiny is rooted in something that you uniquely carry to offer the world, and in the great Love you were formed.
